Today’s Daily Mail rediscovers an entertaining myth it first promulgated in 2006 – that mothers who work spend just 19 minutes a day with their children.
Middle-class parents have been taken to task by the Chief Medical Officer, Sir Liam Donaldson, over what he calls their “obsession” with serving watered-down wine to their children.
Whitehall is better armed with data on children who no longer exist than on those that can expect to live for the next 80 years.
